Job summary

American Family Care Arvada is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general medical care in an outpatient setting. You will work under a licensed provider and support a franchised location with a focus on vitals, exams, and patient education.

Responsibilities include drawing blood, lab prep, immunizations, medication administration, and accurate documentation. Bonuses are performance-based and the role offers benefits with a flexible, supportive small-business environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure.
• Perform laboratory tests and equipment maintenance per instructions.
• Ensure immunizations are documented and administered per procedure.
• Conduct referrals and pre-certifications as needed.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain complete documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
