Job summary

STGi is seeking a Medical Assistant to support services at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Mississippi. You will work under the PACT team and clinic leadership to deliver high-quality care and administrative support in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, documenting in EMR, explaining the plan of care, assisting with procedures, and coordinating tests with the VA system. Strong clinical experience and MS MA credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program (CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent) or CMA/RMA certification.
• Current Medical Assistant license in Mississippi or eligibility.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic software tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/check-out patients with PACT team.
• Document patient information in medical records and VISTA as required.
• Explain plans of care and test results to patients.
• Assist with medication administration per protocol.
• Perform MA procedures: dressings, venipuncture, ECGs, injections.
• Prepare patients for labs and examinations; assist providers.
