Zusammenfassung

STGi seeks a Medical Assistant to deliver clinical and administrative support at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Pierre, South Dakota. The role operates under the guidance of the PACT team and clinic leadership within VA and STGi programs.

You will perform venipunctures, ECGs, wound care assistance, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining patient confidentiality and high-quality interactions with veterans and families.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient scheduling and care coordination.
• Ability to assist in procedures and lab work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Aufgaben

• Check-in/check-out patients with the PACT team.
• Document patient information and labs in the records.
• Provide patient education on plan of care.
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, ECGs, wound care.
• Prepare patients for labs and exams; assist providers.
• Maintain infection control and confidentiality of information.
• Assist in scheduling appointments per VA access standards.
