STGi seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Pierre, SD. The role works under the CBOC Clinic Manager, PACT Provider, and STGi Program Manager to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, documentation in EMR, and helping with lab procedures and care coordination. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with emphasis on privacy and safety.

Qualificações

• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or a recognized accrediting body.
• Current and unrestricted Medical Assistant license in SD.
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Military Training Network.

Responsabilidades

• Check-in and check-out patients with the PACT team.
• Document patient information in medical records and VISTA per site guidelines.
• Explain plan of care and communicate test results to patients.
• Perform medication administration techniques per protocol and state rules.
• Prepare patients for labs and exams and assist providers as needed.
• Maintain infection control and universal precautions.
• Assist scheduling and coordination of patient appointments.
• Support clinic operations and participate in staff meetings and huddles.
