Job summary

Geisinger Healthplex CenterPoint is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting. You will work under the provider’s direction, preparing patients, documenting in the EMR, and supporting a safe environment.

Eligible candidates may be CMA or RMA certified, with preferred completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Pay is commensurate with experience and certification, with opportunities for sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Certification by NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient information using EMR rooming tool.
• Set up examination and treatment rooms between cases.
• Assist provider during visits and minor procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications per policy; no IV administration.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
• Support patient scheduling, referrals, and billing inquiries.
