Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant Certified to deliver team-based patient care in an outpatient setting under provider supervision. The role supports daily clinic operations through clinical and administrative duties, including data collection, room preparation, and EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate will have CMA/RMA certification, a high school diploma, and completion of a Medical Assistant Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• No prior Medical Assistant experience required.
• Up to 1 year of experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting preferred.
• Completion of medical assistant program including clinical rotation and physician office experience.
• Participation in a clinical orientation, competency evaluation, and ability to pass a clinical skills assessment and medication administration test within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Gathers and documents basic patient data under close supervision.
• Prepares patients and equipment for routine procedures.
• Assists with preventive care activities and screenings.
• Documents clinical information in the EMR under supervision.
• Administers medications and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Assists with appointment scheduling and basic check-in/check-out tasks.
• Supports pre-certification, referrals, and prior authorizations as directed.
• Performs basic EMR navigation for orders and communications under supervision.
