Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to deliver team-based patient care under a provider's direction in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The role includes clinical tasks, administrative duties, and strict adherence to care plans and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has CMA/RMA certification, two years of clinical experience, and the ability to perform procedures such as EKGs and injections under supervision. A comprehensive orientation will be provided.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant Certified.
• CMA/RMA certification from a recognized listing.
• Ability to pass a clinical skills assessment and medication administration test within ninety (90) days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with comprehensive patient assessments and documentation.
• Prepare exam spaces, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Support preventive care activities including screenings and health maintenance tasks.
• Perform clinical procedures independently after training (e.g., 12-lead EKGs, point of care tests).
• Administer medications and vaccines under provider direction.
• Schedule appointments and manage basic patient flow in the clinic.
• Navigate EMR for documentation, orders, and patient communication.
