Job summary

Fitchburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Fitchburg, MA is hiring a Substance Use Counselor for our outpatient MAT program. This full-time role delivers individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder, guided by evidence-based approaches and coordinated with a multidisciplinary team.

We seek candidates with a Master’s degree or equivalent credentials and experience in addiction recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or credentials in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree holders encouraged if pursuing credentials within 60 days of hire.
• Degree obtained must be in psychology, social work, or related health services field from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient's recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and clearly.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
