Job summary

TrueNorth Wellness is seeking an Outpatient Manager (Full-Time) with leadership experience to oversee therapists and interns across York, Hanover, or Gettysburg, with travel as needed. You will ensure compliant, efficient outpatient operations, support staff, and drive quality care in collaboration with the broader team.

The role requires a clinical master’s degree and management background, with preferred licensure (LPC/LSW/LCSW) and required clearances.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical field (social work, counseling)
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience
• Knowledge of regulations governing Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics and DDAP facilities
• LPC, LSW, or LCSW preferred
• Three clearances and mandated reporting training required (Pennsylvania ChildLine, PA State Police, FBI fingerprint)
• Experience with substance use treatment a plus
• Experience with child and adolescent populations a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee department staff (therapists, interns) with three co-managers
• Serve as operations contact for therapists and interns (approve schedules, relay expectations, provide clinical direction)
• Ensure smooth outpatient therapy operations (compliance, QA monitoring, client concerns, medical record documentation)
• Hire, train, and maintain clinical staff per agency policies
• Understand and comply with OMHSAS and DDAP regulations
• Support staff by performing duties alongside other managers as needed
• Create and implement efficient processes and policies with other managers
• Monitor and impact financial health of outpatient clinics
• Collaborate with area stakeholders to support the community

Job Description:

• Oversight of department staff (therapists, interns) with a team of three co-managers.
• Serving as an operations contact for the therapists and interns (approving schedule changes, relaying expectations, reinforcing accountability to agency standards and expectations, providing regular clinical consultation and direction to staff, facilitating staff meetings)
• Ensuring the smooth functioning of outpatient therapy operations (compliance with regulations, quality assurance monitoring, handling customer concerns, documentation in the medical record)
• Hiring, training, and maintaining clinical staff according to the agency's personnel policies
• Understand and comply with both mental health (OMHSAS) and substance use (DDAP) regulations
• Supporting department staff and functions by completing some/all of these duties alongside the other staff as necessary
• Creating, implementing, and ensuring efficient processes and policies, in cooperation and coordination with the other managers of the outpatient program and customer engagement department
• Ability to monitor and impact the financial health of the outpatient clinics
• Working cooperatively with area stakeholders and providing positive support to the community

Job Qualifications:
