Job summary

Community Medical Services (CMS) in Arizona is urgently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to administer medications to patients recovering from opioids and other substances. You’ll work under a CMS medical provider, monitor dosage safety, obtain vital signs, and maintain accurate client records in the EHR.

Qualifications

• LPN license valid in the state of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to travel to CMS sites.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience with substance use disorders preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by CMS medical providers.
• Monitor dosage-related behavioral and medical symptoms and other substance-use related concerns.
• Obtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samples.
• Process point-of-care urine drug screens per policy.
• Maintain accurate client records in the EHR system and document medication errors.
• Deliver medications to external facilities and manage dosing room supplies.
• Adhere to regulations and respond to adverse medical reactions.
