Job summary

1001 ProMedica Shared Services, LLC is seeking a Hospital Coding Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the hospital coding team, overseeing workflow, staffing and quality metrics. You will coach and develop staff, monitor productivity and accuracy, and ensure compliant coding practices that support regulatory requirements and organizational goals.

Remote position available to qualified U.S. residents; familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG and APR-DRG reimbursement is required, with

  • Associate degree in health information management or related field.
  • 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS or CPC certification.

Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY The Hospital Coding Supervisor leads the daily operations of the hospital inpatient or outpatient coding team. You will oversee workflow, staffing and performance while promoting accurate, efficient and compliant coding practices that support regulatory requirements and organizational goals. You will coach, develop and support team members while monitoring productivity and quality outcomes. By collaborating with stakeholders, implementing process improvements and supporting coding policies and systems, you will help ensure timely account completion and maintain effective coding operations. Requirements
  • Associate degree in health information management or related field.
  • Hospital inpatient coding proficiency with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG and APR-DRG reimbursement methodologies.
  • 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS or CPC certification.
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in health information management or related field.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, HIM coding, reimbursement and EHR Systems.
  • Proficient in report monitoring, data analysis and identifying trends.
  • 3 years of coding experience.
  • 1 year of management experience.
  • RHIA or RHIT certification.
Salary Range

- $41,600 - $134,680
