Job summary

UPMC Central Pa is seeking an Endocrinology attending to join a comprehensive outpatient practice serving South Central Pennsylvania. The role focuses on diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and menopause management with access to insulin pumps, CGM, ultrasound, and biopsy capabilities.

Qualified candidates are board eligible/board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, completed an Endocrinology Fellowship, and eligible for PA licensure.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Completion of an Endocrinology Fellowship
• Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
• Fellowship graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders in the outpatient setting
• Providing consultative support and guidance to the inpatient endocrine nurse practitioner team
• Caring for patients with diabetes utilizing advanced technologies, including insulin pumps and CGM devices
• Participating in the development and expansion of advanced thyroid services, including office-based ultrasound and biopsy procedures
• Collaborating with a dedicated infusion center for endocrine testing and treatment
• Supporting osteoporosis management and fracture prevention initiatives
• Contributing to future clinical research opportunities and program development
