Job summary

Community Medical Services is urgently hiring a Nurse to administer medications to patients recovering from addictions. The role supports clinicians, maintains inventory, audits records, and ensures a safe recovery environment under the Clinic Manager's supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN or RN in state of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to travel to CMS sites.
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record (39 months).
• Experience in substance use disorders preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of signs of intoxication and opioid withdrawal symptoms.
• Demonstrates accuracy in medication administration and records.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by CMS providers.
• Monitor behavioral and medical symptoms and dosage-related effects.
• Obtain vital signs, blood and urine samples.
• Process point-of-care urine drug screens.
• Prepare take-home medications where applicable.
• Monitor to prevent diversion and report it as needed.
• Maintain accurate client records in CMS EHR system.
• Document medication errors and respond to adverse reactions.
• Deliver medications to external facilities and arrange dosing for clients.
• Order and maintain nursing supplies and inventory.
• Adhere to all regulations and standards.
• Administer CPR when necessary.
