Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

You may delegate to RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians and participate in quality improvement activities within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. As part of the Clinical Advancement Program, you will contribute to education, leadership

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for dialysis patients.
• Collect and document patient data pre-during-post dialysis and adjust care as needed.
• Educate patients and family on care plans and learning needs.
• Direct and collaborate with nursing and support staff to deliver safe dialysis therapy.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Assist with emergency response measures when required.
• Provide staff training and orientation under supervision.
• Ensure correct lab collection, processing and scheduling.
