Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Grayson, KY seeks an entry-level professional registered nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

As part of the ESKD health care team, you will collaborate with RNs and patient care staff, participate in teaching and quality improvement activities, and advance CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs systematic collection and analysis of patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment and documents in the medical record.
• Adjusts treatment plan as indicated and notifies supervisor or physician as needed.
• Provides patient and family education and supports learning needs.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per algorithm and documents justification.
• Assists with emergency response and participates in staff training and orientation.
