Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT specialization.
• 1–3 years experience in CT preferred.
• AMA approved radiographic technology training; Associate degree or certificate.
• Maintains BCLS certification and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans as ordered and per protocol.
• Screen patients for history and contraindications for IV contrast; obtain consent.
• Initiate IV access for contrast and monitor for reactions.
• Position patients for examinations and select techniques.
• Review scans with Radiologist prior to discharge.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure privacy and comfort.
• Maintain QA/QC duties and complete charges for examinations.
• Communicate with referring offices and assist other modalities as needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety rules and universal precautions.
• Commit to continuing education (12 credits/year; 24 in 2 years).
• Will work with the 128 Fujji Scanner.
