Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures for inpatients, outpatients and emergency room patients, applying clinical skills and protocols to deliver accurate imaging. The role requires administering IV contrast within state and hospital guidelines, venipuncture, patient identification, order verification, and clear communication with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CT program with valid certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year CT experience preferred.
• Ability to administer IV contrast per state and hospital policy.
• Strong venipuncture and aseptic technique.
• Understanding of ALARA and radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and ED patients.
• Verify orders and select appropriate CT protocols.
• Position patients and optimize image quality.
• Document exams and charges; transfer data to radiologists.
• Perform startup/shutdown and QC on CT equipment.
• Provide patient information and post-procedure instructions.
