Job summary

YNHHS is seeking an OP Senior Coder to serve as a subject matter expert, educator, and QA reviewer for Outpatient Coding. The role emphasizes AR management, process improvement, and mentoring team members in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires strong ICD-10, CPT and PCS coding skills, with proficiency in Epic and 3M systems, and a track record of maintaining high coding quality. Collaboration with multiple departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive outpatient coding experience.
• Proficient in all OP service lines including ancillary/radiology, ED/Observation, SDS, Oncology, infusion and injection coding, IR and Cardiology.
• Epic and 3M experience required. Audit and education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day outpatient coding AR to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of coding.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in OP coding and workflows to staff and partners.
• Conduct regular QA reviews to identify coding errors and trends and monitor improvement.
• Maintain a minimum of 95% overall coding quality score across diagnostic, procedural, and modifier codes.
• Mentor staff and lead when supervisor is unavailable.
• Collaborate with Vendor Relations and other departments to resolve issues and streamline processes.
