Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks a medical coding professional to analyze medical records and assign diagnosis and procedure codes following established guidelines. The role includes abstraction work and supporting the hospital revenue cycle to ensure accurate billing and coding.

Ideal candidates have completed a medical coding program and hold CCA/CCS/RHIT/RHIA certifications, with at least one year of related experience, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of medical coding from an approved health information technology program.
• Certification: CCA, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA.
• Minimum one year of experience in medical coding or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records to assign diagnosis codes per coding guidelines.
• Analyze medical records to assign procedure codes per coding guidelines.
• Perform analysis of medical records for abstraction in support of documentation and coding.
• Assist in the hospital revenue cycle processing and workflows.
• Uphold patient safety and quality; promote exceptional patient/guest experiences.
