Job summary

Candidates should have RHIT, CPC, or CCS certification or at least five years of coding experience, with strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and coding systems.

Qualifications

• Certification or five years coding experience.
• Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, medical terminology, pharmacology, and coding systems.
• Minimum two years coding experience; specialty coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information from patient records for reimbursement.
• Abstract data to compile a patient database for research, care evaluation and administrative decision making.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and third-party reimbursement policies.
