Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical coding program from an approved health information technology program.
• Certification as CCA, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical coding or related field.
• Strong analytical skills, computer literacy, attention to detail, and communication ability.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records to assign diagnosis codes per coding guidelines.
