The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager at MUSC Community Physicians, supporting a decentralized patient-centered approach. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and input data into the medical record while preparing treatment rooms for examinations under physician direction.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assisting program; applicable CMA/CCMA/NHA/NAHP certifications and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Certification as CMA/CCMA/NAHP or similar with BLS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records data in the medical record.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist clinicians during examinations.
