MUSC Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic, reporting to the Outpatient Clinic Manager under RN supervision. The role supports patient-centered care, conducts patient interviews, records vital signs, and prepares exam rooms.

Under AMT/AAMA/NHA/NCCT eligibility, this position requires a CMA program completion and a HS diploma; 40-hour workweek; on-site at MUSC Health; EHR/documentation duties and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensures accurate calibration, cleaning and scheduled maintenance of clinical/lab equipment.
• Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and pertinent information; communicates plan of care to patient.
• Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness of patient care environment.
• Manages patient flow, scheduling of appointments and referrals.
• Observes and reports patient condition; triages calls and communicates with physician.
• Assists with exams, procedures and treatments; instructs patient on collection of samples and tests.
