Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast‑paced outpatient setting in Seattle. You will interview patients, document vital signs, and prepare exam rooms while maintaining accurate health records.

You will perform injections, labs, EKGs, and assist with procedures, along with front-desk duties such as scheduling and patient flow. A CMA with hands‑on externship and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health‑approved organization OR a Certificate/Diploma with hands‑on externship.
• Fully online CMA programs without hands‑on externship are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands‑on training.
• Strong clinical skills including vital signs, injections, labs, and EKGs.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient‑service skills.
• Ability to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and obtain and document vital signs.
• Maintain accurate patient health records.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient care.
• Sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to procedures.
• Administer medications, including injections, within scope of practice.
• Perform approved laboratory testing and specimen collection.
• Operate EKGs and diagnostic equipment as permitted.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care.
• Provide front-desk scheduling and patient flow support.
• Make patient follow‑up calls as directed.
• Monitor inventory and order medical supplies.
