Northeast Family Services is seeking Outpatient Telehealth Clinicians to join our growing team and welcome applicants from neighboring states! Under the direction of the Program Director, the Outpatient Clinician will provide services and care to our Telehealth patients in accordance with NFS’ policies. NFS Outpatient Therapists work collaboratively with clients to help them access their core strengths to be their best selves and realize their full potential, utilizing a variety of approaches such as individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy.

What You Will Be Doing
  1. Facilitates traditional outpatient services for Mental Health conditions, including individual and/or family therapy, and case management for a caseload of individual client services.
  2. Responsible for assessing client for co-occurring and mental health needs using DSM criteria.
  3. Completion of Initial Assessments for clients, as well as assessing for appropriate level of care.
  4. Obtain and review records relevant to the current treatment episode, and contact relevant referral sources, family or outside systems as needed.
  5. Prepare (as needed) and maintain treatment plan and necessary revisions.
  6. Coordinate with potential discharge planners regarding continuing care and recommendations for discharge.
  7. Documentation of all counseling services in clinical records.
  8. Maintain all necessary logs required for administrative tracking.
  9. Complete relevant state-required work for clients on your caseload.
  10. Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team assigned to the client and participate in case management meetings (as needed).
  11. Conduct individual and group counseling.
  12. Communicate with family members, attorneys, EAPS, doctors or other outside resources, as needed, within provision of consent to release documents, and document all communications.
  13. Initiate releases, contracts for safety or any other necessary documents as needed.
  14. Provide crisis intervention and other functions as needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation

Fee for Service: $45 to $55 / hour

Salary

$55,000 - $65,000

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field required
  • Valid, unrestricted license in New York as a LCSW or LMHC
  • Independent Clinical License within 2 years
  • Requires excellent time-management skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage one's own schedule with client outreach.
  • Some afternoon/evening availability is required
  • Fluency in English required, bilingual Spanish is a big plus!
