Job summary

The Guidance Center Inc. in Kansas is seeking an Outpatient Clinician I or II to join our interdisciplinary team.

You will provide outpatient clinical services, including intake assessments, psychotherapy (individual, family, and group), and ongoing treatment planning, with evening hours required (1+ day per week after 5 pm). We offer a competitive salary between $81,769.64 and $94,163.36, plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, holidays, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling.
• Licensure by Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as LMSW/LMLP/LMFT/LPC/LSCSW/LCPC/LCMFT by first day.
• Two semesters of master-level practicum in a clinical setting.
• Two years' experience in clinical services including diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning.
• Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and ongoing treatment planning.
• Provide minimum of four evening hours per week after 5 pm.
• Provide daytime crisis services when needed.
• Ensure all clinical services comply with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Understand and meet productivity and performance goals.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Outpatient Clinician I or II to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position is responsible for providing outpatient clinical services to clients served by The Guidance Center. Evenings Required (1+ days per week after 5 p).

Primary Duties:

1.Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning

2.Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning

3.Provide minimum of four appointment hours per week after 5 pm

4.Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.

5.Provide daytime crisis services when needed

6.Ensure that all clinical services provided are following clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies

7. Understand productivity and efficiency goals established by TGC for the position, and achieve same

8.Provide documentation (clinical notes, reports, and other professional products) which complies with TGC’s Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.

9.Be able to organize work to meet performance expectations and Center requirements

10.Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Required: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or ProfessionalCounseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT,LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.

Preferred: Master’s degree in social work, Clinical Psychology, or Professional Counseling and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW), LCP, or LCPC by the first day of employment

EXPERIENCE:

Required:two semester’s master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessmentand therapy services

Preferred: minimum of two years' experience in providing clinical services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy services.One year experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices.
