Job summary

The Guidance Center in Kansas offers a rewarding opportunity as a CSS Clinician, providing intake assessments, psychotherapy, and crisis coverage as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will work with clients served by the Community Support Services team, both in office and off-site, with a focus on evidence-based practices and quality improvement.

Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
• Experience in community-based mental health care and evidence-based practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning for CSS clients.
• Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and ongoing treatment planning both in office and off-site as needed.
• Provide minimum of two appointment hours per week after 5 pm.
• Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.
• Provide daytime crisis services when needed.
• Ensure clinical services follow guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies.
• Meet direct service expectations and Center requirements.
• Document clinical notes, reports, and other products per Quality Improvement standards.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a CSS Clinician to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position is responsible for providing clinical services to clients served by the Community Support Services team.

• Competitive annual salary of $81,769.64 to $86,919.64; depending upon qualifications.

Primary Duties:

1. Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning for CSS clients.


2. Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning both in office and off site as needed.


3. Provide minimum of two appointment hours per week after 5 pm


4. Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.


5. Provide daytime crisis services when needed.


6. Ensure that all clinical services provided follow clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies.


7. Understand direct service requirements and efficiency goals established by TGC for the position and achieve same.


8. Provide documentation (clinical notes, reports, and other professional products) which complies with TGC’s Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.


9. Be able to organize work to meet direct service expectations and Center requirements


10. Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or ProfessionalCounseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP,LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: two semester’s master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessmentand therapy services; post master’s clinical experience, and experience with the Kansassystem of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices.
