Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking an Outpatient Clinician to join our VHS team in the school system, delivering evidence-based outpatient therapy to youth and families across clinic, school, and telehealth settings.

You will conduct behavioral health assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, coordinate care with internal teams and external providers, and ensure timely documentation to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field.
  • Licensed or actively pursuing licensure (LICSW/LMHC or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience or interest in mental health and/or substance use.
  • Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Culturally responsive and empathetic approach.
  • Comfortable with EHR and health technology.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based outpatient therapy across clinic, school, and telehealth.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and determine levels of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Provide services with fidelity to program standards and engage families and youths.

What You’ll Do

As a Clinician, you will deliver evidence-based outpatient therapy and support individuals in achieving meaningful clinical outcomes while maintaining strong engagement and access to care.

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and determine appropriate levels of care
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with assessed needs and program standards
  • Coordinate care with internal teams, families, and external providers
  • Facilitate referrals to additional services and support access to care
  • Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain productivity expectations and proactively address barriers to service delivery
  • Provide services across multiple settings, including clinic, community, and telehealth
  • Participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development
Who You Are
  • Master’s Degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field required
  • Licensed or actively working toward licensure (LICSW, LMHC, or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs
  • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations in a culturally responsive and empathetic manner
  • Comfortable with electronic health records and technology platforms
  • Committed to ongoing learning, professional growth, and high-quality care

Pay:

$55,000 - $65,000

  • Differentials: Unlicensed only - $3,500/year once you obtain independent license (LMHC or LICSW)
  • $5,000/year once their caseload is at 50% or more with clients/parents who speak a language other than English
Shift:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with expectation of 6 weekly hours between 5pm-8pm & weekend rotation 9am-1pm (as needed by rotation) - Hybrid with 2 days in-person at schools
