Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a Clinical Psychologist in Michigan to provide assessment, counseling, treatment, and referrals. The role emphasizes high-quality care, compliance with government and organizational standards, and patient advocacy in a diverse workplace.

The position requires licensure as a psychologist, 1–2 years of related clinical experience, and ongoing participation in education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Current state license or degree from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
• Requires a Fully Licensed Psychologist.
• One to two years of postgraduate clinical experience to understand PRCMHS policies and develop treatment skills.
• May be required to apply to become a member of the Affiliate or Courtesy Affiliate Medical Staff.

Responsibilities

• Participates in interviewing persons served and assesses them through mental status examinations and records review.
• Selects and completes appropriate therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, experiential, evidence-based).
• Collaborates with treatment team members on patient progress in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Ensures medical record documentation complies with protocols and is entered timely.
• Coordinates services and community resources as needed for patients.
• Participates in departmental meetings and committees as time allows.
• Maintains Michigan licensure requirements.
• Keeps up with current treatment trends through literature, workshops, and continuing education.
• Provides education and training for patients, families, or community groups.
• May write behavior management plans as part of consultations.
• Provides consultation to professionals, hospitals, organizations, or agencies outside Pine Rest.
• Encourages involvement in local, state, and national professional organizations.
