Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital is launching a new outpatient clinical pharmacy in Grand Junction. This PRN pharmacist role supports the Pharmacy Manager in daily operations, shaping workflows, patient care standards and ensuring safe, seamless care.

The candidate is a motivated pharmacist with strong collaboration skills who can adapt to a evolving service and contribute to a growing program in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• License to practice pharmacy in the state and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Effective communication, people management and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for allergies, duplications, therapy appropriateness and interactions.
• Ensure medications are prepared and delivered timely and securely for all care areas.
• Counsel patients and promote medication education and adherence.
• Supervise interns, technicians and staff; provide clinical consultation as needed.
• Identify problems and propose solutions to equipment, maintenance or staffing issues.
• Suggest workflow improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
