Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Nursing Support professional to assist providers during exams in outpatient clinics and to support patient care activities. You will perform a variety of clinical tasks, manage equipment, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

Under RN oversight, you will enter patient data into the EMR, handle scheduling and registration, and support infection prevention practices. The role is part-time and located in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in customer focused/service setting required.
• Associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers during exams and supports patient care in outpatient clinics.
• Attaches patient to diagnostic and medical equipment and prepares rooms for procedures.
• Enters patient data into the EMR system and handles scheduling/registration tasks.
• Monitors infection prevention practices and maintains equipment and supplies.
