Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers during exams and supports patient care in outpatient clinics.
• Attaches patient to diagnostic equipment and monitors.
• Provides information, comfort and care to patients during exams and explains next steps.
• Manages supplies and ensures exam rooms are stocked for provider preferences.
• Maintains patient flow and minimizes wait times.
• Collects specimens, records vital signs, and prepares specimens for the lab.
• Enters patient data into the electronic medical record and may assist with scheduling.
• Other duties as assigned.
