Job summary

CVM is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established outpatient cardiology team in Davenport, Iowa. This 100% outpatient role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no hospital rounding, no call, no weekends, and no holiday coverage.

You can tailor the focus to General Cardiology or Electrophysiology based on experience and interests, with mentorship and collaboration from many cardiologists and APPs.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa license or ability to obtain licensure prior to starting.
• Interest in General Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology (EP).
• New graduate NPs and PAs welcome.
• Strong communication and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage outpatient cardiovascular patients.
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Order and review EKGs, labs, imaging, and stress tests.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with cardiologists.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and lifestyle changes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses and staff.
