Job summary

The RN OP burn, wound, and hyperbaric clinical nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed team members who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care.

The RN functions in a clinical environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar shared governance model.

Qualifications

• ASN or Diploma in nursing; BSN preferred.
• Two years nursing experience in ambulatory or acute care setting.
• Experience in outpatient settings encouraged.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts to diverse populations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and keep patient goals as focus of care.
• Practice using current clinical standards with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Assist in Hyperbaric Unit and respond to adverse events per protocols.
• Demonstrate competence in vital signs, blood sugars, and emergency procedures.
