Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency.
• Minimum of one year of patient scheduling and healthcare patient registration.
• Knowledge of third party payer requirements, healthcare billing, and customer service experience.
• Ability to prioritize and work efficiently without constant supervision.
• Experience with basic computer tasks and EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-services functions for outpatient procedures and schedule procedures.
• Identify patient and maintain accurate EMR information.
• Obtain insurance information, benefits, and authorizations.
• Calculate insurance co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance.
• Collect payments and obtain medical and financial consents.
• Inform patients about Patient Rights, Privacy and Advance Directives.
• Schedule outpatient procedures timely according to policy.
