Job summary

Inova Behavioral Health Services is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our outpatient addiction services at the Merrifield Clinic in Sterling, VA. The role is full-time, day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with no weekends or on-call requirements.

The RN will provide holistic, safe care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to achieve optimal outcomes in an outpatient setting. A BSN or ADN is required, with BSN preferred if ADN holds.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required; if ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association required.
• RN licensed and eligible to practice in Virginia; strong English communication and caring demeanor; proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic care in an outpatient setting and integrate knowledge to meet patient needs.
• Educate patients and families; promote wellness and recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and the health-care team to coordinate care and support practice improvements.
