Job summary

Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking an experienced Addiction Psychiatrist to provide trauma-informed outpatient psychiatric care and medication management for underserved populations. This physician will play a key role in delivering integrated behavioral health services and supporting patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Unrestricted Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adults.
• Deliver trauma-informed care for individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including buprenorphine and naltrexone therapies.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and behavioral health teams in an integrated setting.
• Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to psychiatric and primary care nurse practitioners.
