Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a compassionate Addiction Psychiatrist to provide outpatient psychiatric care and medication management for adults, with a focus on trauma-informed treatment and co-occurring disorders. This physician will help integrate behavioral health services within a multidisciplinary team and lead MAT initiatives.

Candidates must have an MD/DO, ABPN board status, Georgia license, completion of psychiatry residency, and experience with addiction medicine or MAT; board

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Unrestricted Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.
• Minimum one year of experience serving disadvantaged or special-needs populations.
• Certification in Addiction Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, or demonstrated expertise with MAT strongly preferred.
• Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in a multidisciplinary setting.

Aufgaben

• Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adults.
• Deliver trauma-informed care to individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including buprenorphine and naltrexone.
• Collaborate with primary care and behavioral health teams in an integrated setting.
• Provide consultation and clinical guidance to psychiatrists and nurse practitioners.
• Support outpatient behavioral health and substance use programs through leadership and oversight.
• Participate in community outreach, health fairs, and events.
