Job summary

Symetria Recovery is hiring an outpatient addiction counselor in Naperville, IL to conduct assessments, build individualized treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling. You will document progress in EMR systems and coordinate with medical and psychiatric teams to support recovery.

The role requires 1–3 years of counseling experience, licensure in IL (LPC/LCPC/LCSW/LSW/CADC) and knowledge of MAT/OTP regulations, with a commitment to evidence-based practices and patient-centered

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in IL (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LSW, or CADC).
• 1–3 years of experience in substance use counseling.
• Knowledge of MAT/OTP regulations and treatment protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ substance use history and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals.
• Maintain documentation of treatment plans, progress, and notes.
• Deliver individual counseling sessions and lead group counseling.
• Provide coping skills and relapse prevention strategies.
• Create discharge plans including aftercare and community supports.
• Coordinate referrals to medical, psychiatric, and community services.
• Deliver case management to ensure continuity of care.
