Job summary

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, is seeking an Outlets Server Assistant to help maintain a clean dining environment and support servers to ensure superb guest satisfaction. You will set tables, stock service areas, and assist with guest requests in a fast-paced, fine dining setting.

The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, physical ability to stand/walk long hours, and a willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• One year or more of prior service assistance in a fine dining or hospitality setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of table settings and service ware preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Keep café clean, organized, and reset tables promptly.
• Set and arrange tables per reservations; reset tables promptly.
• Clear dirty dishes from dining/bar area.
• Deliver bread and refill water glasses.
• Maintain stock of glassware, silverware, plates, ice, and linen.
• Keep work area clean, including restroom upkeep and trash removal.
• Assist servers with guest requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

What do you bring to the role?

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• One year or more of prior service assistance in a fine dining outlet, other hospitality, restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.
• High school or equivalent
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests. Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and/or transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
