Job summary

Goodwill Greater New York and Northern New Jersey is seeking an Outlet Material Handler to support the Outlet and Salvage departments. The role involves loading and unloading inventory, moving product through the outlet, and operating various equipment to create salvageable bales.

Responsibilities include handling donations, sorting items, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of the warehouse. The position requires strong physical stamina and willingness to train on power equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Load clearance product from stores onto outlet tables utilizing tippers and by hand as needed.
• Separate clothing, shoes, accessories, wares, trash and items for recycling; place them in designated areas.
• Load product from Outlet tables into bale machines to create bales for Salvage.
• Ensure tables pulled from the Outlet floor are trash and commodities prior to baling.
• Assist with removal of tables on the Outlet floor to the Salvage production area.
• Operate electrical and manual equipment following safety guidelines.
• Use material handling equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, dolly) safely.
• Ensure electrical equipment is operational and report any issues to the manager on duty.
