Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is seeking a Material Handler- Runner to support warehouse operations, move products between stations, and assist with salvage preparation. The role emphasizes safety and proper use of PPE while maintaining a clean work environment.

Cross-training may occur to cover additional duties. The position involves sorting, tagging, and labeling donated apparel for salvage, with emphasis on throughput, quality checks, and documentation of weights and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to use a calculator to add and subtract numbers.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable

Responsibilities

• Transport products between workstations in coordination with forklift operators to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Load and manage clothing on grading tables and conveyors.
• Process a minimum daily quota of 12 Gaylords (1,300 pounds or more).
• Break down clothing bales to optimize processing speed.
• Transfer processed items to baling station.
• Record and track material weights, including daily starting and ending weights and Gaylord weights.
