Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is seeking an Outlet Chef for The Junction Ale House. The role leads a busy kitchen, oversees up to 30 staff, and ensures high standards, cost control, and timely service in a resort setting.

You will recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, coordinate with the Executive Chef, and maintain hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a related role.
• Two+ years post-high school education preferred; culinary education desirable.
• West Virginia Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee up to 30 positions directly (Sous Chef, Line Cooks, Utility Workers).
• Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop kitchen staff.
• Manage kitchen operations, quality, and admin functions.
• Foster good communication and relationships across Snowshoe Mountain.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, control costs, and maintain standards.
• Keep team updated on menus, promotions, and events.
• Address maintenance, hygiene, and safety concerns promptly.
• Align financial performance with resort objectives.
• Perform assigned duties as needed.
