Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana, Inc. seeks an Outlet Associate for the Greenwood, IN outlet. The role involves cashiering, donation processing, furniture sorting, and assisting with daily quotas in a safety‑minded environment.

You will perform front‑of‑house duties and back‑of‑house tasks, learn to use pallet jacks or balers, provide excellent customer service, and support leadership to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Warehouse Processes – receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, shipping; pallet jack, baler, and/or tipper.
• Communication Skills - articulates thoughts effectively and assists customers.
• Customer Focus - provides excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Mathematical Aptitude - basic arithmetic for transactions and measurements.
• Reasoning Ability - apply common sense to instructions and problems.
• Teamwork - works well with others to achieve tasks.
• Ethical - adheres to procedures and maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Rings up customer orders and follows cash handling procedures.
• Provides information about Goodwill programs to educate customers.
• Directs higher-level questions to the appropriate associate or manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of the sales floor and arranges merchandise.
• Moves furniture to the sales floor and assists with carry-out requests.
• Rotates commodity bins and sorts items accordingly.
• Cross-trains in various outlet functions.
• Sorts recyclable items and manages donation processing.
• Loads/unloads trucks and operates heavy equipment as needed.
