Job summary

Commerce City is seeking a Youth Service Leader to guide outdoor programs for youth ages 6–17 and their families. Under the Recreation Coordinator, you will plan and lead engaging, skill-based activities, foster environmental education, and create a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and stewardship.

Open positions include Leader I, II and III; pay varies by experience, with hourly ranges from $17.06 to $22.57.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for youth programs and 21 for teen programs.
• Must possess CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certificates or obtain within 10 days of hire.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and provide a current MVR within 10 days of hire.
• Must possess Standard Precautions certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Lead outdoor activities and skill-based programs for youth ages 6–17.
• Foster environmental education and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
• Coordinate with Recreation Coordinator and assist with program planning and scheduling.
