Job summary

City of Commerce City seeks a Youth Service Leader to guide outdoor programs for youth aged 6–17 and their families. Under the Recreation Coordinator, you will plan skill-based activities, promote environmental education, and ensure a safe, inclusive atmosphere that encourages confidence and stewardship.

We offer a pay scale dependent on experience with three Leader levels and open review schedules. Applicants must be 18+ (21+ for teens), hold CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for youth programs and 21+ for teen programs.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certificates or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and provide a current MVR within 10 days of hire.
• Must possess Standard Precautions certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.
• Experience caring for children ages 6-17 who are not related.

• Lead outdoor activities and adventures for youth ages 6–17 and their families.
• Foster environmental education and create a safe, inclusive environment.
• Supervise and guide participants in single- and multi-day programs.
