Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Survey SUE Technician I to join our team in NC/SC offices, including Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, or Columbia. This entry-level role focuses on outdoor fieldwork using electromagnetic equipment and ground-penetrating radar to detect utilities, with training to advance to Technician II.

You will operate data collectors, record field data, and assist with vacuum truck operations while adhering to safety standards and company procedures. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred. Commensurate relevant experience considered.
• Entry level position, no prior experience required.
• Ability/willingness to travel for work assignments, including occasional overnight assignments.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and random thereafter.
• Ability to work outside in all seasons and conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities through nondestructive methods.
• Operate Data Collectors and collect field measurements.
• Record and document the underground utility field data accurately.
• Train to operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Train to meet company safety standards.
