Job summary

Stake Center Locating in United States (Virginia) is seeking entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training and equip you with the basic skills to succeed.

A preference for outdoor work in all weather, independence, and quick problem-solving is essential. What we offer includes a pay rate of $21.00 per hour, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, a 401(k) with company match, and company-provided

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Carrying up to 5 lbs of locating equipment and lifting up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best method & sequence for locating.
• Use provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
