Job summary

Stake Center Locating, Inc. is seeking entry-level Locate Technicians to identify underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training to equip you with essential skills for success.

You will work outdoors in all weather, in a role that rewards independence and quick, accurate problem solving. A strong emphasis on safety and community damage prevention runs through every task.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use provided locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
