Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot and mark the ground with paint and flags. We train on the job and provide a 100% paid training program.

You must enjoy outdoor work in all weather, work independently, and solve problems quickly and accurately. We offer a rate of $23.50 per hour, company vehicles with a fuel card, 401k with match, paid holidays and PTO, safety shoe vouchers, and a home-use vehicle for company work.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2–3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 75 lbs with tools.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think safety first while locating underground utilities.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best locating method.
• Use provided locating equipment to accurately locate utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
• Receive, process tickets and emails using a laptop.
